The 12 Year Novena Prayer of Saint Bridget on the Passion of Jesus

Click here to pray this prayer daily  http://wiredbeyond.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_8.html

These prayers, given by Our Lord to St. Bridget of Sweden, are to be prayed for 12 years.

Our Lord promised to all who pray them the 5 graces listed below. If the person praying these prayers dies before the 12 years are over, Our Lord will accept them as having been prayed in their entirety because the intention of the person was to complete them as directed.

If a day or two is missed due to a valid reason, they can be made up at the earliest opportunity.

This devotion was pronounced authentic and was recommended by the "Sacro Collegio de propaganda fide," as well as by Pope Clement XII. Pope Innocent X confirmed this revelation as being from Our Lord.

The Promises:
1. The soul who prays them will suffer no Purgatory.
2. The soul who prays them will be accepted among the Martyrs as though he had spilled his bloodfor his faith.
3. The soul who prays them can choose three others whom Jesus will then keep in a state of gracesufficient to become holy.
4. No one in the four successive generations of the soul who prays them will be lost.
5. The soul who prays them will be made conscious of his death one month in advance.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Prayer - Nine Month Novena

PRAYER of the 9-Month Novena to our Lady of Guadalupe

To be prayed daily throughout the nine-month novena from Mar 12 to Dec 12, 2024.

O Virgin Mother of God, we fly to your protection and beg your intercession against the darkness and sin which ever more envelop the world and menace the Church. Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, gave you to us as our mother as He died on the Cross for our salvation. So too, in 1531, when darkness and sin beset us, He sent you, as Our Lady of Guadalupe, on Tepeyac to lead us to Him Who alone is our light and our salvation.

Through your apparitions on Tepeyac and your abiding presence with us on the miraculous mantle of your messenger, Saint Juan Diego, millions of souls converted to faith in your Divine Son. Through this novena and our consecration to you, we humbly implore your intercession for our daily conversion of life to Him and the conversion of millions more who do not yet believe in Him. In our homes and in our nation, lead us to Him Who alone wins the victory over sin and darkness in us and in the world.

Unite our hearts to your Immaculate Heart so that they may find their true and lasting home in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Ever guide us along the pilgrimage of life to our eternal home with Him. So may our hearts, one with yours, always trust in God's promise of salvation, in His never-failing mercy toward all who turn to Him with a humble and contrite heart. Through this novena and our consecration to you, O Virgin of Guadalupe, lead all souls in America and throughout the world to your Divine Son in Whose name we pray. Amen.

St Rita Prayer for the Impossible

O Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favors has been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the Impossible; St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that thou could obtain from Him whatsoever thou ask, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant; be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.

We promise, if our petition is granted, to honor thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever. Relying then upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray thee grant that [here mention your petition]. Pray for us, O holy St. Rita, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Guardian Angel Novena

Feast Day October 2

Oh Holy Angel, whom God by the effect of His goodness and His tender regard for my welfare, has charged with the care of my conduct, and who assists me in all my wants and comforts me in all my afflictions, who supports me when I am discouraged and continually obtains for me new favours.

I return thee profound thanks, and I earnestly beseech thee, O most amiable protector, to continue thy charitable care and defence of me against the malignant attacks of my enemies.

Keep me away from all occasions of sin.  Obtain for me the grace of listening attentively to thy holy inspirations and of faithfully putting them into practice.

In particular, I implore thee to obtain for me the favour which I ask for by this novena.

(Mention your petition)

Protect me in all the temptations and trials of this life, but more especially at the hour of my death, and do not leave me until thou hast conducted me into the presence of my Creator in the mansions of everlasting happiness.  Amen.

ANGELUS (Your Morning Prayer)

Hail Mary...

Pray for us, Oh holy Mother of God that we made worthy the promises of Christ.

Pour forth, we beseech You O Lord, Your grace into our hearts, that we to whom the incarnation of Christ Your Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His passion and cross be brought to the glory of His resurrection. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for Our Lady Untier of Knots

Holy Mary, mother of God and our most blessed mother, you know my problems both small and large that like knots are tight and hard to undo.  I feel restricted by them, and do no know how to overcome them.  I come to you, and offer myself.  Oh Mary, Mother of Mercy.  Unite the knots that I am burdened with.

Deliver me from the darkness of sin and guide me on the path of light.  Protect me from confusion and doubt and open my heart to the truth of the gospel.  Free me from the prison that I have created that afflicts me in my life and send me the holy spirit.  Assist me from life's illnesses of body and soul, deliver me from the anxieties and fears that bind me.

Protect my family and loved ones and relieve my selfishness and pride.  Help me to love generously and to have a forgiving heart.

Blessed Mary, I ask for your help to unbind these knots...(say the problems) so I can live my life serving Christ with serenity and hope.  I ask through Jesus Christ, Your son and our Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever.  Amen.

Prayer to Saint Peregrine

Feast Day May 1st

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty", "The Wonder-Worker", because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.  For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more.  You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction.  Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you. (...recall names of those you are praying for).  Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.  Amen.

Virgin of Childbirth Prayer

Feast Day 2nd Sunday of October

Holy Mother of God, Virgin of Childbirth, we come to you to sing your praise.  You are the beloved daughter of the Father, the Mother of the Word incarnate, the Temple of the Holy Spirit.  You are the Virgin God chose from eternity to realize our salvation: ask your Son Jesus to grant us a strong faith, a solid hope, and a generous charity.

Virgin Mother, we put under your care all the mothers who pray for the integrity of their children and for a successful birth, so that the life in their womb may be preserved from all dangers.  Grant them to come back to you with their child to give thanks to the Lord who works wonders for those who hopefully trust in him.

Virgin of Childbirth, protect all children with your love, so that, cleansed from sin by baptism and received in the Holy Mother Church, they may serenely grow up, full of virtues, in order to become courageous witnesses of your Son Jesus, and may persist on the path of sanctity, with the favor of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Hail Mary! Full of Grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Virgin of Childbirth - pray for us!

Novena for the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

This novena should start 9 days prior to the Solemnity of the Feast of the Assumption.
Mary, Queen Assumed into Heaven, I rejoice that after years of heroic martyrdom on earth, you have at last been taken to the throne prepared for you in heaven by the Holy Trinity.
Lift my heart with you in the glory of your Assumption above the dreadful touch of sin and impurity. Teach me how small earth becomes when viewed from heaven. Make me realize that death is the triumphant gate through which I shall pass to your Son, and that someday my body shall rejoin my soul in the unending bliss of heaven.
From this earth, over which I tread as a pilgrim, I look to you for help. I ask for this favor: (Mention your request)

When my hour of death has come, lead me safely to the presence of Jesus to enjoy the vision of my God for all eternity together with you.  Amen.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Prayer

Feast Day June 27

Mother of Perpetual Help, you have been blessed and favored by God. You became not only the Mother of the Redeemer but the Mother of the redeemed as well. We come to you today as your loving children. Watch over us and take care of us. As you held the child Jesus in your loving arms, so take us in your arms. Be a mother ready at every moment to help us. For God who is mighty has done great things for you, and His mercy is from age to age on those who love Him. Our greatest fear is that in time of temptation,we may fail to call out to you, and become lost children. Intercede for us, dear Mother, in obtaining pardon for our sins, love for Jesus, final perseverance, and the grace always to call upon you, Mother of Perpetual Help. Amen.

Saint Alphonsus Liguori Quote

Feast day August 1st

"Everyone must know that, after the Mother of God, St. Joseph is, of all the saints, the one dearest to God. He has, therefore, great power with him and can obtain graces for his devout clients."

Saint John Bosco Quote

Feast Day January 31

"When tempted, invoke your Angel. He is more eager to help you than you are to be helped! Ignore the devil and do not be afraid of him: he trembles and flees at the sight of your Guardian Angel."

Novena to Saint Gianna

Feast Day April 28

St. Gianna is the Patron Saint for mothers, physicians and unborn children.

God, our Father, You have granted to Your church the gift of Gianna Beretta Molla. In her youth she lovingly sought You and drew other young people to You, involving them, through apostolic witness and Catholic Action, in the care of the sick and aged, to help and comfort them.

We thank You for the gift of this young woman, so deeply committed to You. Through her example grant us the grace to consecrate our lives to Your service, for the joy of our brothers and sisters.

Glory be …

Jesus, Redeemer of mankind, You called Saint Gianna to exercise the medical profession as a mission for the comfort of bodies and souls. In her suffering fellow men and in the little ones, deprived of all support, she saw You.

We thank You for having revealed Yourself to this servant as “one who serves” and who soothes the sufferings of men. Treasuring her example may we become generous Christians at the service of our brothers and sisters, especially those with whom You deign to share Your Cross.

Glory be…

God, Sanctifying Spirit, who love the Church as Your Bride, You poured into the heart of Saint Gianna a share of Your Love so that she could radiate it in her family, and thus cooperate with You in the wonderful plan of creation, and give life to new children who could know and love You.

We thank You for this model wife and, through her encouraging witness, we beg You to grant to our families the serene and Christian presence of mothers committed to transform their homes into cenacles of faith and love, rich with generous activity and sanctifying service.

Glory be…

O God, Creator and lover of mankind, You were close to Saint Gianna when, affected by illness, she was in the painful dilemma of choosing between her own life and the life of the child whom she was carrying in herself, a gift long-awaited. Trusting You alone, and aware of Your Commandment to respect human life, Gianna found the courage to do her duty as a mother and to say “yes” to the new life of her baby, generously sacrificing her own. Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Jesus, and after the example of Gianna, inspire all mothers to welcome with love the sparkle of new life. Grant us the grace we are praying for (especially………….) and the joy to find an inspiration in Saint Gianna who, as a model spouse and mother, after the example of Christ, gave up her life for the life of others.

Hail Mary…

Mark 11: 11-26

Most Blessed Trinity, I, Your child, thank You for all the gifts and privileges which You granted to St. Gerard, especially for those virtues with which You adorned him on earth and the glory which You now impart to him in heaven. Amen.

Corpus Christi Novena

Feast Day June 22, 2014

I adore Thee profoundly, O my Jesus, in Thy sacramental form; I acknowledge Thee to be true God and true Man, and by this act of adoration I intend to atone For the coldness of so many Christians who pass before Thy churches and sometimes Before the very Tabernacle in which Thou art pleased to remain at all hours with Loving impatience to give Thyself to Thy faithful people, and do not so much as bend The knee before Thee, and who, by their indifference proclaim that they grow weary of this heavenly manna, like the people of Israel in the wilderness.

I offer Thee, in reparation for this grievous negligence, the Precious Blood which Thou didst shed from Thy five wounds, and especially from Thy sacred Side, and Entering therein, I repeat a thousand times with true recollection of spirit:

O Sacrament most holy!  O Sacrament Divine!  All praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.

Serenity Prayer of Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini

Feast Day November 13

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.  Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as he did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that he will make all things right if I surrender to his will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with him forever in the next.  Amen.

A Prayer, For Prayer

Oh Holy Spirit grant me the gift of prayer.  Come into my heart, and grant me the strength not to abandon it because I sometimes grow weary of it; give me the spirit of prayer and the grace to pray continually.  Amen.

Guardian Angel Prayer

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom his love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide.  Amen.

A Prayer for the Sick

Dear Jesus, divine physician and healer of the sick, we turn to you in times of illness.  O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept our burdens.  Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands.  We place our sick (especially ________) under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again.  Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your holy will and know that whatsoever you do, you do for the love of us.  Amen.

Prayer to Saint Joseph, Patron of a Happy Home

Feast Day March 19

Dear Saint Joseph, god the father chose you from all men to be the husband of Mary and the foster father of Jesus.  You cared thoughtfully and wholeheartedly for them while on Earth.  It was through you that Jesus first learned of His Heavenly Father's gentleness, compassion, protection, and provision.  So close were you that He was known simply as the Carpenter's son.

We now ask for your help.  Please intercede before our heavenly father for his protection, provision and peace.  Help us sell our home and find a new one, suitable for our needs.  Grant us harmony and grace in our home and that we may be hospitable to family, friends and neighbors.

Finally, when our life on this earth is over, bring us safely to our heavenly home, where we shall enjoy eternal joy with you and all the family of God.  Amen.

Saint Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us; Saint Joseph, Patron of a Happy Home and safeguard of families, pray for us.

Alliance of Two Hearts Novena

Feast Day is June 19

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, I consecrate myself and my whole family to You. I consecrate to You: my very being and my whole life…All that I am…All that I have…and All that I love.  To You I give my body, my heart, and my soul.  To You I dedicate my home and my country.  Mindful of this consecration, I now promise You to live a Christian way of life by the practice of virtues.  O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, accept this act of consecration, which I make out of pure love for You.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on me!  Immaculate Heart of Mary, be my salvation!  Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Your merciful heart!  Amen.

Prayer to Sell Your Home

God, we thank you that we can trust you for a roof over our head.  You promised this and you deliver!  We thank you for giving us our home.  We need to pass it off into other hands, however, and we ask for your blessing in this process.  We ask you to be our primary real estate agent.  Bring us together with the right buyer, someone looking for the specific criteria we offer.  Play matchmaker, Father.  Give us wisdom to make any changes to our home or in our expectation of price to bring this about.  Give us creativity to think of new possibilities.  In Jesus, we trust you with this transaction.  Amen.

Prayer to Saint Luke

Feast Day October 18

Saint Luke is the Patron Saint of Physicians

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. Prayer of Blessed Cardinal Newman

Feast Day Oct 9

This Prayer was recited daily after Communion by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta and her Sisters of Charity.

Dear Jesus, help me to spread Your fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Your Spirit and Life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that my life may only be a radiance of Yours. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus! Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as You shine, so to shine as to be a light to others. The light, O Jesus, will be all from You; none of it will be mine. It will be You, shining on others through me. Let me thus praise You in the way which You love best, by shining on those around me. Let me preach You without preaching, not by my words but by my example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears for You.  Amen.

Novena to Glorious Saint Joseph

Feast Day March 19

Let it not be said that we have invoked you in vain, and since you are so powerful with Jesus and Mary, show that your goodness equals power.  Amen.

"The devil will try to upset you by accusing you of being unworthy of the blessings that you have received. Simply remain cheerful and do your best to ignore the devil's nagging. If need be even laugh at the absurdity of the situation. Satan, the epitome of sin itself, accuses you of unworthiness! When the devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future."
